First single from Amala Paul's The Teacher out

The makers of Amala Paul's upcoming film The Teacher have released the first song video. Titled Kayalum Kandalum, the song is composed by Dawn Vincent and sung by Sreenanda Sreekumar. Anwar Ali has penned the lyrics. The video features romantic moments between the lead pair, Amala Paul and Hakkim Shah. The song beautifully captures the backwaters (kayal) and mangroves (kandal) of the Kollam region.

The Teacher has Amala playing a physical education teacher named Devaki. Billed as a revenge film, it is directed by Athiran-fame Vivek. Kendra Sahitya Akademi winner PV Shaji Kumar has penned its screenplay and dialogues based on Vivek's story.

The Teacher also stars Manju Pillai, Chemban Vinod Jose, IM Vijayan, Nandu, Prashanth Murali, Senthil Krishna, Anumol, Maala Parvathy, and Vineetha Koshy. Anu Moothedath is the cinematographer and Manoj is the editor. Jointly produced by Varun Tripuraneni, Abhishek Ramisetty, and G Pruthiviraj, the film is set to hit screens on December 2.
