CE Features

Taapsee Pannu-starrer Looop Lapeta has gone on floors today. The film, which also features Tahir Raj Bhasin, is a remake of Tom Twyker’s 1998 German thriller Run Lola Run. The Hindi adaptation is being helmed by debutant Aakash Bhatia. It is produced by Sony Pictures India, Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar and Aayush Maheshwari.

Run Lola Run follows a woman (Franka Potente) who desperately needs cash to bail out her boyfriend. Over the phone, he tells her she has precisely 20 minutes to obtain it. As Lola makes a frantic dash from her home, the film explores three possible outcomes of the scenario.

In a note, the makers of Looop Lapeta had stated that the story has been adapted to suit an Indian context.

Taapsee’s last release was Thappad (2020). She essays a sprinter in the upcoming sports film Rashmi Rocket.
