Team Kabza has unveiled a poster from the film. It was launched by director Ram Gopal Varma on September 17, on the eve of Upendra's birthday.

Director R Chandru's Kabza features Upendra as an underworld don. The poster shows him smoking a cigar above a pile of corpses. The background objects like vintage trains, cara, and trucks add to the retro feel of the film.

The director reveals that the weapons on the poster are modelled based on the ones used in 1947. "Kabza will be set between the 1940s and 80s period. Through this poster, I want to convey to the audience the theme I am exploring in my film," says director Chandru.

Kabza, backed by MTB Nagaraj under his Sri Siddeshwara Entertainments banner, is shot in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu, and will be dubbed and released in Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi and Bengali.

The team is gearing up to resume shooting from September end or early October. The 20-day schedule initially planned by the crew will begin with jail sequences featuring Upendra, along with Kabir Duhan Singh and Kota Srinivas.

Kabza is the second collaboration of R Chandru and Upendra after I Love You. The film has Ravi Basrur composing the music and Arjun Shetty handling the cinematography. The crew is yet to finalise the heroine.
