Anupam Kher-led Project Heal India has donated BiPAP machines and 5 oxygen concentrators to the BMC.

Founded in collaboration with Dr Ashutosh Tewari (Global Cancer Foundation, USA) and Baba Kalyani, (Bharat Forge, India), Project Heal India aims to provide critical life-saving equipment and other life supporting devices to medical institutions and hospitals across India.

The project has initiated various donations to different medical institutions under its first leg of operations. It now aims at reaching out to more institutions for further support.

“As India is reeling under a huge crisis, it is our moral responsibility to pick up the mantle and do our bit,” Anupam Kher had said on the project’s launch. He was recently in news for his comment on the government's focus on 'image building'. In a later tweet, he suggested that mistakes are made by those who work, without giving any context.
